What are the difficulties in the processing of aluminum profiles ?

2025-01-23
The difficult problems in aluminum profile processing require strict control of process parameters and product quality during the production process, strengthening quality management and finished product inspection to ensure that the quality and performance of the final product meet the requirements.
At the same time, it is also necessary to continuously improve production efficiency and reduce production costs to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.

The difficulties in the processing of aluminum profiles mainly include the following points:
Possible issues during the extrusion process include deviations in the contour of the shape, surface defects such as cracks, shrinkage wrinkles, curved surface depressions, and side sagging, twisting after stretching and bending, and vertical deviation.
The temperature during the extrusion of Industrial Aluminum Profiles is too low, the extrusion speed is too slow, and the outlet temperature of the extruder cannot reach the solid solution temperature, which fails to play the role of solid solution strengthening profiles.

The number of fans at the outlet of the aluminum profile is insufficient, resulting in a slow cooling rate and failure to lower the aluminum profile to below 200 ℃ within the specified time. This leads to premature precipitation of coarse magnesium silicide, reducing the solid solution phase and affecting the mechanical properties of the profile.
The composition of the ingot is unqualified, and the magnesium and silicon content in the ingot does not meet the standard requirements.
The uneven treatment of the ingot resulted in the inability of the precipitated magnesium silicide phase in the ingot structure to re dissolve in a short period of time during extrusion, leading to insufficient solid solution and affecting product performance.
Improper aging process, poor hot air circulation, or improper installation of thermocouples can result in insufficient or excessive aging.
