Aluminum is divided into raw aluminum and mature aluminum. Raw aluminum is less than 98% aluminum, with relatively brittle and hard properties, and can only be used for sand casting of goods; Mature aluminum is over 98% aluminum, with soft properties that can be rolled or punched into various containers. So, when ordering aluminum profiles, how can we distinguish whether they are of poor quality?
Characteristics of inferior aluminum profiles:
1. The unqualified chemical composition of aluminum profiles, mixed with a lot of miscellaneous aluminum and waste aluminum in the product, greatly reduces the cost, but it can lead to the unqualified chemical composition of the construction aluminum profiles, seriously endangering the safety of the construction project.
2. Many defective aluminum profiles have reduced their closure time, minimized the loss of chemical reagents, and lowered costs, but the corrosion resistance of the profiles has also been greatly reduced.
3. The thickness of the oxide film is thin. The thickness of the oxide film on aluminum profiles constructed according to national standard regulations should not be less than 10um (micrometers). The thickness is insufficient, and the surface of aluminum profiles is prone to rusting and corrosion. During the sampling inspection, some aluminum profiles without production name, factory address, production license, and qualification certificate had an oxide film thickness of only 2 to 4um, and some even had no oxide film. According to expert estimates, for every 1um reduction in oxide film thickness, more than 150 yuan in electricity consumption costs can be reduced per ton of profile.
4. The chemical composition is unqualified. Adding a lot of miscellaneous aluminum and scrap aluminum to aluminum profiles can greatly reduce costs, but it can lead to substandard chemical composition in the construction of aluminum profiles, seriously endangering the safety of construction projects.
